Tips for healthy eating

Here are my top tips for healthy eating:

Eat Regularly - Try not to skip meals as it will lead to craving high energy and high fat foods such as chocolate for an energy boost or caffeine to keep you going.

Don’t skip breakfast - Ensuring you have a good breakfast helps to kick start your metabolism and ensures that you don’t rely on caffeine and high sugar foods to find the energy to get through your day.

Be prepared - Try to have your meals or snacks prepared before hand. This will help to ensure that not only do you save money as you’ll be eating out less but it also means you have healthy snacks and meals ready to go.

Limit coffee, energy drinks and soft drinks and drink a lot of water - Try to ensure you get your 2 litres of water a day by having a 1 litre drink bottle. This will help you keep track of how much you have had and will help to ensure you don’t run to coffee or tea when your thirsty.

Do what works for you - There’s no point preparing carrot sticks if it’s not enjoyable for you to eat or forcing yourself to eat every 2 hours even if your not hungry because something you read told you to. I guarantee you’ll end up struggling to stay on track by not eating what you’ve prepared which will lead to you being hungry, going for a quick processed snack and wasting money. Find things that you enjoy and work for you and go with that!
